Happy Humpday Haiku #1

In honor of my last Wednesday in the US, I've decided to start a not half-assed tradition I'm calling Happy Humpday Haiku. I owe the majority of this endeavor to one Mr. Andrew Calas, whom without his unceasing satire, comedic relief, and desire to break up the monotony of Monday with his own poetic prowess, I would have never engaged with him on the haiku platform. So here's the starting point: one haiku per week, for 52 weeks.
