Resolute Locution

Another year, another time to reflect
Absentmindedly the superficial ways
to change and then neglect so blindingly.

We're already changing constantly, while the constant
Awaits us consciously for an overdue acknowledging.
Disappointed in a lackluster effort like it's a "College 'D'"

Surprisingly if we set our sights inwards
To a place that we cannot see, then mentally
We are prepared to take appropriate action on this accord.

For you can afford to uphold a human virtue
By believing what you say, in the same as what you do.
Nobody can do it better for yourself than you.

The best resolution you can make this year
Is to be resolute in your being, no point in seeing
Another one's way for a life they are not leading.
