Happy Humpday Haiku #67

Dynasty

Six games to the Hawks.
Mark my words, you saw it here
First. Bring home the cup.

The Chicago Blackhawks have redeemed what it means to be a Chicago Sports fan. The Sox continue amidst a sea of mediocrity, and their title is all but forgotten. The Cubs are markedly better than a few years ago, but the only reason anyone still goes to the game is because Wrigleyville...nuff said. The Bulls have been on an emotional rollercoaster of despair. Who knows what their future holds. Chicago football doesn't look promising, let's be honest.
The Hawks are the closest thing our city has had to a dynasty since the Michael Jordan era. Except now it's looking more like the Toews/Kane era. What an amazing time to be a Chicago fan, let alone hockey, or sports in general. And here I am, on the other side of the world, streaming the game on my computer in a break room while Korean teachers stare shocked at me as I prance around the room whooping in excitement. No one understands. That's ok. I'm from Chicago. You don't need to know anything else.
