Views Ed. 10 Seoraksan One Year Later

I remember going to Seoraksan as a neophyte during my first extended vacation in Korea. I had just started to establish a stability to my routine, but I hadn't done much outside of going to work, eating, and sleeping. Those first impressions will stay with me till my last thoughts. This past May I had the opportunity to go again. Unlike my first trip, the recent outing proved less than idyllic. Low hung clouds diminished visibility of the mountains various peaks. An incessant and pestering drizzle threatened morale, as well as the path I climbed one year earlier. Venturing west of the main gate, we hiked to Biryeong waterfall, and eventually made our way to Gwongeumseong peak via cable car. The views at the top were like something out of Jurassic period. Enjoy.
